assumed audience: anyone who's read my upcoming travel blog posts and is interested in the format.
i'm grateful to be travelling overseas once again. previously, i travelled with others, and the experiences were focused on sightseeing and/or attending events as a group.
this time, it's party of one, and i'm focused on getting to know people outside of all the places i call home. i am and plan on staying with family, friends, family friends, and online friends. and i plan on meeting fellow travellers and complete strangers both virtually and in person. and i plan on letting each interaction shape my future in ways unforetold.
this is what i call "people-oriented travel". i'm sure many sights will be seen, but, importantly, they will be seen because it's someone's favourite place. each of these, to me, will be another context in which i get to know people and a shared experience over which we can connect.
through this travel, i will be discovering different perspectives. this is what my upcoming travel blog posts will be about. but i will neither mention/depict other people nor depict myself, because i want the light that others see to shine without identification.
